Return to FILE SETUP
TIFF Format

This file type is the safest format when it comes to maintaining file integrity. What you see is what you get in the final printed piece (regarding mechanics). PhotoShop and certain other programs can easily save out TIFF files, however, when saving from programs other than PhotoShop, it is recommended that you open the files and check them afterwards.

Other considerations when preparing TIFFs:

• Make sure file is flattened and remove any alpha channels

• Provide 1/4" bleed when image requires mounting or finishing

• Do not provide files that are over 900 Megabytes (uncompressed)

Please feel free to call Tri-Colors technicians anytime regarding questions about TIFF setup.
